How to Make a Transparent Signature (PNG) from a Photo

A transparent signature has no white box around it, so it sits neatly on any document. You can make one from a simple phone photo.

Steps

1. Sign on plain white paper with a black or dark blue pen.
2. Take a photo in good light, straight from above.
3. Open the Signature maker and add the photo, or draw your signature directly with your finger or mouse.
4. Move the Clean-up strength slider until the paper disappears and the ink looks solid. You can also change the Ink color to pure black or blue.
5. Set Background to transparent and tap Download signature to save it as a PNG.

Where to use it

• Sign a PDF: open Sign PDF, tap Upload image, choose your PNG and place it on the page.
• Exam forms: forms usually want a JPG signature with a white background and a KB limit. Use the Exam photo resizer with a signature preset for that.

Keep your signature safe

A signature image can be misused. Keep the file private, don't post it publicly, and only place it on documents you are allowed to sign.
